Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Wick (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use the Wick iOS application. Wick is a private home-scent session tool for lighting a wick, keeping a personal shelf, and writing aftertaste notes on this device.
1. Summary
Most records stay on your device. Shelf items, burn sessions, aftertaste notes, Coins balance, and unlock records are stored locally. Wick does not operate messaging, live streaming, dating, or stranger-matching features. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
2. Information processed on your device
- Scent names, families, remaining amounts, rooms, and optional bottle photos
- Burn session times, aftertaste notes, optional scent maps, and optional short voice notes
- Profile photo if you choose one
- Coins balance and consumable unlock state (shelf slots)
- Basic preferences such as evening reminders and User Agreement acceptance
3. Permissions
Wick requests system permissions only when related to a feature you use:
- Camera — photograph a scent bottle on Shelf or a profile photo on Mine when you tap Camera
- Photo Library — choose a bottle or profile photo, and save HD session cards
- Microphone — record a short aftertaste voice note after you extinguish a burn
- Notifications — optional evening burn reminders
- App Tracking Transparency — the system prompt appears on first open after Continue so you can set Apple’s tracking preference. Wick does not use an advertising identifier to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and core lighting, shelf, and journal features still work if you decline.
4. Purchases
Coins are consumable In-App Purchases processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Purchase records follow Apple’s App Store terms and privacy practices.
5. Content on this device
Notes stay on this device. Wick may run a local sensitive-word check before saving an aftertaste note. Wick is not a public plaza and does not publish your notes to other users.
6. Third parties
Wick does not upload your bottle photos, voice notes, or aftertaste text to third-party artificial intelligence services.
7. Children
Wick is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under the minimum age required in your region.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a revision.
